1. That's downright tacky
but I love it. My Hogs lost today so I'll be sulking throughout the weekend. And the crowd in Dallas has to put up with crap like Memphis and bucknell when Hogs-Tigers would have been a centerpiece event. Well bucknell's season made by beating someone else. Too bad they aren't of the class that beating them would really mean anything to the winning team.

3. Ah yes the great mystery of "The 'Cuse"
Several friends of mine and I had wondered aloud for a long time about why there was such significant coverage of Syracuse and the near reverance of voice when the name is mentioned. Sure they have had a long history in football particularly at the FB position (at one time) and a long history of basketball and such......but so do Auburn and Tennessee and Kentucky and so forth.

Was it their proximity to NYC? the only real major college athlete program (all around) to the major news outlets?

No, turns out that (I should have known this) Syracuse is THE #1 best school for broadcast journalism and has been for some time. The list of alums is very long and make up a majority (it seems) of not only talking heads but execs.

THAT is why anything Syracuse might do gets its own 2 minutes.

4. well, to be fair
the Big East Run was incredible.

it's also one of the top schools for political management (Maxwell) I know a lot of people who went there.

And their real history is in Lacrosse. Second only to Hopkins in titles overall.

6. Ha Ha.
:sarcasm:

They just didn't have the magic or the fire last night. Plus, MacNamara was hurt, he was of no use, and no one else bothered to step up.
I was happy about the Big East run, winning the title and getting to the dance.
