I heard Reggie (or his PR person) issued a press release saying the family "leased" the home from his new agent. Wouldn't give details as to what they were paying for rent on this $800,000 home, though. Hmmm.

There's obviously cause and effect here, and even if they paid rent that could be considered reasonable, accepting the lease is probably a violation of NCAA rules.

...essentially he and USC have a contract with the NCAA to follow those rules. The family was in the home for the past year--when he was playing for USC.

Amateurism, as practiced by the NCAA, is a load of bullshit. It shouldn't be any of their business how athletes or their families earn money, as long as it isn't anything that is actually illegal - ie drugs, gambling, etc.

The discussion is the reality of the situation, not what you personally think the NCAA should be concerned about.

And if this goes down badly, USC may have to forfeit its championships.
