I'm not impressed by Nicklaus shooting 48 at Augusta

That commercial. By far the best part is Jack's meat eating grin when he presents the card and the score taker is astonished.

But think about that best ball 48. I would have guessed several shots lower. A birdie on every hole brings you to 54. There are four par 5s so you know he's eagled every one. That takes it down to 50.

So on the remaining 14 holes, ten par 4s and four par 3s, it means Nicklaus has only eagled (or aced) 2 of the 14. Granted, it requires holing a tee shot or fairway shot, but in more than four decades of play it seems weird he only managed two of them.

I guess I was bored.
