to his recievers or the opposing team's defense? I have no doubt that he can still throw, but his mentality has to be a concern.

8. Well, let's look at the stats

10th in passer rating (NFL)
4th in TDs (NFL)
5th in passing yards (NFL)
28th in INTs (NFL) <-- yeah, that sucks
And the fact that you can almost guarantee that he will play every game of every season until he retires.

He seems pretty solid to me. Maybe no Payton Manning anymore, but if he had a defense this year I think they could have had a chance at at least the NFC title.

Of course, I am biased.

He should have gone out with the rest of his "class"(the QBs that came in around his time)... the Steve Young and Jim Kelley crowd. You might argue he is in a younger class, but after the hits he has taken and the concussions he should have been long gone.

I dunno where all this stuff is coming from. There are only a select few quarterbacks who could have won ten games with the Green Bay defense this year.

14. He won't but he should.

He just doesn't have it anymore. He hangs his receivers out to dry when he isn't throwing interceptions, his decision making is poor at best and he can't run anymore. He's a shell of the great player he once was and it's time to hang it up. I suspect he'll come back for one more even though the Pack has no shot at the Bowl. They have to rebuild that defense and it's going to take awhile.

I'd like to see him play one more year. If, by chance, he gets some help from the defence, the Packers should be pretty good. I think he felt as if he needed to do everything this past year and pushed a little too hard.

after he retired. He was just too old, too slow. Had nothing to do with HIV--he just wasn't fast enough to play anymore, and it tarnished his legacy. I should've been clearer. My bad.

Brett had a pretty wild side when he was younger, but he's quite the family man now.

We all want our sports stars to leave right at the right time, before their skills deminish to the point of embarassment, but not before that time. I think Brett's best days are behind him, but most of his problems are from bad decisions. That's something he's struggled with his entire career. Mike Holmgren was able to keep him in line better than any of his other coachs. I think Brett misses that relationship.

23. He should, but for other reasons.

With all the crises that have hit his family in the last couple of years, and now his wife battling breast cancer, he should really consider retiring. He has nothing left to prove, he at least won one championship, he's a lock on the Hall of Fame, etc. And his family needs him, though they will likely tell him they want him to keep playing.
