At least you probably have one of the three right -- the Colts in the AFC Championship game.

The Eagles even making it to the Super Bowl is far from a sure thing. Their offense is now anemic and one-dimensional w/o TO, and their defense is hardly stifling. They could very well lose to Minnesota this weekend.

Pittsburgh will beat the Jets in a hard-fought game. Whoever out of Pittsburgh, Indy and New England survives the AFC playoffs will win it all.

What in the world makes you think that they will be able to beat the Steelers with Plexico Burress stretching the field?

The Jets are a good team this year. It's just that Pittsburgh is a little better than them in every single category, and it will show again -- especially since Pittsburgh has had time to rest up and allow their players to get over nagging injuries.

As Tom Jackson has repeatedly said, "The Pittsburgh Steelers are the most physical team in football this year." And usually, the most physical team is the one that wins it all.

13. I was at that game - it completely turned when Cowher put the Bus in.

Not just his pass for the first touchdown - but the Jets didn't want to tackle the guy. It was great to watch.

The addition of Plex will create openings for Randle El and Ward. As long as Ben continues to be mistake-free, it should be a cake walk.

And as long as we have bad weather for the AFC Championship game, we should walk into the Super Bowl.

The Jets on their best day can beat the Steelers on their worse day, and the Steelers with unbeaten rookie at QB are due for a bad day.

Like when they played the Jets. Big Ben was only 9 of 19 passing that game, and the Steelers still found a way to win.

That's what championship teams do -- they find ways to win games even when they aren't playing their best. And they bring it when they're playing big games.

The Jets are a good team. But they aren't a championship caliber one. Before they beat San Diego, I don't think they had beaten a team with a winning record. Championship teams beat teams with winning records.

Sure, the Jets CAN win this game, but I'd say their chances of doing so are only about 10% this week. Pittsburgh is just too good, and too physical.

Plexiglass Burress isnt even the steelers best receiver. he is number 2 behind ward or perhaps even the third best behind ward and Randal El. He makes WAY too many drops.

Plexiglass wont be the deciding factor in this game. defense will. which ever team can stop the others run will win.

18. Hines Ward is their best receiver. But Burress is the deep threat.

Burress is the guy that they have who can really stretch the field, opening up things underneath for Ward and Randle-El. Without Burress, teams were able to jump more routes underneath and didn't feel they had to keep a safety deep. With him, they're a much more balanced attack.

Burress gives the Steelers a deep threat, which opens up the underneath passing game AND the running game.

Rothlisbergers' 6 foot 5 inch security blanket. When Burress has been available this season, he's been Rothlisbergers most favorite target by far.

had a real offensive coordinator instead of hackett, they would do the same thing. i mean hells we had the leading rusher in the NFL, the oldest RB ever to do that. we have a deep threat in Moss, a underneath guys in Mcaraines, Sowell , Chrebet.

21. Hackett's had a very successful career -- he's not to blame

The problem has been the effects of Pennington's injury. Chad never had a strong arm to begin with, but he sure was floating some since coming back.

If he's healthy, then it's a slightly different story. Still, his greatest strength is touch and accuracy -- he's not a deep ball guy. That hurts him a bit with stretching the field.

hackett has had troubles wherever he went.
in KC he couldnt get along with joe montana, and he would have been fired there if montana didnt retire.

got fired from UCS because of his conservative playcalling didnt win big games.

he ALWAYS has had trouble in big games. ALWAYS has had trouble getting play calls down on time, thus causing delay of games or use of inopertune time outs

ALWAYS runs a draw on 2 and more than 8. and gets stuffed as a result.

if you always run the same play in the same situation everyone knows its coming and thus loses it effectiveness.

hackett also doesnt believe in using a shotgun nor in using a lot of play action passes, which is stupid considering how much he loves the draw.


i expect that before the end of the week hackett will be fired. personally i would have fired him in the middle of the raven game for his awful play calling.
