My sports story involving General Peter Pace, Chairman JCofS.
I was a Captain in the Army and an aide to a two-star general who was Peter Pace's boss. We ate breakfast together in a mess hall in Mogadishu. Somebody mentioned at breakfast that the Toronto Blue Jays had just won the World Series and the last game was ended with a home run. I said that the last time that happened was in 1960 when Bill Mazeroski lifted the Pittsburgh Pirates over the Yankees in game 7 of the World Series. Peter Pace immediately shot back: "That is some of the most useless knowledge you could have in your head!" Exact quote - I swear to God. I couldn't say Jack Shit because he was a general, but I LMAO because I figure Pace is a Yankees fan!!!111!!!
