5. Me Too
To me, New Orleans is the clear sentimental favorite to go all the way. (I like the Eagles too):)

2. My poor heart
I had (gently) taunted some DU Giants fan earlier this week and was feeling plenty STOOPID when they tied it up with so little time left. Akers is awesome, but I didn't think there was any way he could pull that last kick out!

:woohoo:
:woohoo:

3. My heart was pounding in my chest before that kick.
This seems to have been the year of botched field goals/point afters, and it was raining pretty heavily. Hats off to Detmer and Akers, they made it look easy!

4. Akers ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did I mention the kicker rocks?

When I was at Penn State, the poor kicker seemed to be the scapegoat. Idiots actually egged his fraternity house when he missed a kick, even though the entire TEAM had sucked the whole game, which was the reason the game hinged on one kick...

6. Thank God the Eagles re-signed Detmer last week.
Dirk Johnson was alright. We needed the experience Koy Detmer has in taking field goal snaps. Until the Eagles released Detmer in training camp, it was always the tandem of Detmer and Akers.

7. The Linc was rocking hard last night.
I have to give the Giants credit, they gave us all we could handle on a day that had blowout written all over it. It's a good thing our "B" game was enough to win. We're going to have throw our "A" game next week to come away with a victory. The mistakes aren't going to cut it in New Orleans where we will surely have to play both the Saints and the officials. With that said, I'm thrilled with the victory. It was a good night.

8. You were there?
I noticed that the stands were FULL for quite a while after the game was over, all during the post-game interviews, pouring rain and all. I BET the Linc rocked!!!!:woohoo:

Next week: America's Team 2007. It's gonna suck to be the "bad guys".

9. Hell yeah. I go to every game.
The only time I ever see The Linc on TV is during Army-Navy. Preseason games I'm usually in Florida. Eagles games always have electricity in the air but playoff games are insane. Last night was tremendous. Even though we really didn't play our best game, we never thought we were in trouble. It's just great to be there.

I like us better in the underdog role.

10. It's nice to look at each win as a gift vs. an expectation
I think most of us gave up our expectations midseason, and now the city is just delighted by every win.

11. Absolutely. This is all gravy.
No McNabb, No Kearse, 5-6 at one point? I'm just enjoying the hell out of this. Having the Cowboys lose like they did is just an added bonus.
