1. Peyton's happy feet will fail him in the big game.....and he'll still
have that monkey on his back for not winning the big one. I think Rex is a QT.

5. Heart says Colts
because I'm a Packer fan and as such cannot root for the Bears. But in reality, defense wins championships and the Bears have a very good (not great) defense. And they have a pretty good running game which should keep Manning and co. off the field.

6. If the Texans could shut Manning down
the Bears sure can (and everybody else in that offense). It's all on Rex, just like always. I'm taking the Bears and the points.

9. It's a big game. There are a bunch of Gators on the other sideline and........
it's being played in Florida.

How does Manning do in previous games played in Florida when there are Gators on the other sideline?

0-4.

10. I can think of exceptions immediately
Peyton has won at Jacksonville several times, including 2004 and 2005. I believe Fred Taylor plays for the Jaguars.

Peyton has also won at Miami. I'm not going to check whether any Gators were on those Dolphin teams since it's obviously an absurd criteria.

If you're talking about his college record those games weren't all played in Gainesville. Give your school some credit for winning in Knoxville.

But let's see, using that system I guess as a Canes fan I can never win or lose. This week it's Reggie Wayne vs. Devin Hester. Sure.

14. What if the game is won by steals?
Them Colts better hold on to the ball. Da Bears will be looking to steal each and every time they can. I having a hard time picking but think Da Bears are going to pull it out (literally also), but that is just the way i would bet. Go Colts

11. tough one from a BearFan in Indy
I've waited days to respond to this post, so give me a moment of your time.

I moved to central Indiana in the fall of '84. Just in time to watch the Cubs implode in the NLCS and the Bears lose the NFC Champ game in SF --- McFrail was hurt, Steve Fuller was the QB and the Bears got shutout 23-0. Wow. What a team! McMahon was coming into his own as a leader, a passer, and an injury waiting to happen. Rusty Lisch (fuck!) was 2nd on the team in passing, and Bob Avellini was still there. Oh God....Avellini. That dude was great at handing it to Payton or Harper...or overthrowing Greg Latta and underthrowing James Scott.

But I digress.

I grew up watching Payton. Man, fuck the idiots. WP was the best player to ever wear pads. Nobody did everything that he did as well has he did for as long as he did with just about no other support. RIP, 34.

Back to me. I got to B-town the same year the Colts got to Indy. God, were they bad. I mean BAD. When Mike Pagel is your QB..... Anyway, I won a couple beers when they traded for The Dick in summer of '88. That franchise was shit.

When I moved to Indy in '94, they drafted Marshall Faulk. And made that monster run in the playoffs the next year. If not for Quentin Coryatt dropping that pass from HighNWide Neal ODonnell (dude, it hit you between the FIVES on your fucking jersey!) and the no-call on Slash Cordell Stewart for going outta bounds on a TD pass (and don't think that Die-Hard-Season-Ticket holder Colt Fan didn't call me from the Dome and ask if Jabar Gaffney went outta bounds before his late TD catch on Sunday), the Colts would have gotten to SB 30 and beaten the Cowboys.

Since that time, the team has grown on me. I really like this team: the drafting of Harrison, Manning, the OF linemen, Edge, Wayne, etc., the acquistion of talent and they're making their 2nd big run, this time with a really good coach.

I've lived here in central Indiana longer than I had lived in NW Indiana.
This team is due.
They have multiple Hall Of Famers on this team. And Dungy has a shot as a coach.
This city is ready.
The team is ready.
I really like the Colts.

But fuck 'em. I love the Bears.

Bears 102 Cots -7 Coach Smith will find a way.

GO BEARS!

12. Eagles Fan living in Indy
I also work as an usher for the Colts and have for five years. The NFC guy in me has said all year that the Bears were frauds. The part of me that works for the Colts says they are due. So Da' Berz are going down. I think it will be a closer game than most people think though.

15. Da Bears by a field goal
Phil Simms has been drooling over Peyton Manning all day, so I'm picking Chicago to win.

Enough already, Phil! :puke:
