Who's watching the NCAAs?
Duke loses and freaking undeserving-of-a-bid Stanford gets shelled.

Good day.

1. I am! I've seen every game today!
I'm watching one on television and three on March Madness on Demand online. I've only missed two on my bracket -- I had Duke and Texas Tech. I'm three ahead of my son and son-in-law but tied with my daughter and another son-in-law. I made my bracket based on "hunches" and favorites (For example, I have Texas to win it all! ;) :bounce: ) My daughter factored in mascots. :D

2. I can't bring myself to watch the games on TV
(bitter Syracuse fan) but am paying attention online.

Texas has a pretty good chance with Durant, no?

3. I've learned never to get too optimistic as far as Texas is concerned.
I'm a loyal fan but I tend to expect the worst! However, if Durant and the rest of the team play as well as they are capable, they could go far. With four starting freshman and one sophomore, however, that's a big "if!" :)

Congrats to Syracuse in the NIT! I know it's not the same but it's still quite an accomplishment to win it. We won it once back in the late 70s and then we finally started making it to the NCAA. We don't have near the history in top-level basketball that Syracuse has. Good luck!

4. I bet the games but don't watch them
Saw maybe 40 seconds today.

I walk around with a sportsticker box following my bets. My system relies on two sets of preseason ratings so results are meaningless.

This sport lost me when it implemented the inane 3-point shot. I could understand giving fewer points for a longer shot, but the rationale that a cheap bailout heave is somehow worth more points than a perfectly run play inside the box will forever baffle me.

I could name maybe two or three players in the country. But I damn sure know that Duke lost. :toast:

5. Watching A Little
I have watched some of the games. I wanted to watch the Ohio State game, but I went out and was unable to watch.

9. I'm really disappointed in Illionois, I think I was the only one in my
league to pick them, it was looking good, then they blew it. But then Florida won by 43, and that made me feel a little better

10. Think the refs protect the high seeds?
Oden's flagrant foul wasn't called as such. Xavier would have likely won otherwise.

the 150 blown calls before that are to be ignored, right? You kidding me? They let Oden get beaten up the whole game. Hey, props to X, they played a great game and the bucks played like shit, but let's not kid ourselves; EVERYONE, media included, loves underdogs, bottom line.

12. A 1 seed can't lose in the 2nd round of 32, C'MON
Edited on Sun Mar-18-07 01:10 AM by smtpgirl
it fucks up the brackets, I wish Xavier & VCU had advanced, but there is too much money involved.

Any Given Day, remember???

OSU is not that good, I think Memphis or Tennessee will knock them out.

Kansas & Georgetown in the Finals

Anyone pick that??

The Women's NCAA tournament is better watching on ESPN.
