NHL: Leafs vs. Habs in game 82

I am a Leafs fan, and after they offered up one last lame ass effort - the one the other night against the Islanders - I decided I could take it no more.

Tonight, I want the Leafs to lose, thus squelching the last hope they have of still making the playoffs. I have been a rabid fan, but I can take the teasing no longer. They're up, they're down, they're world beaters, they're bums. No more, I say. The players are trying for the most part, the ownership is satisfied with sell outs and isn't committed to winning. I want a new General Manager at the very least, and if I had my druthers I'd like new team ownership. Shoot for the moon, why the f*** not? Winning is not valued by Leaf ownership, and for forty years now (perhaps with the exception of a brief period in the late 70's and early 90's) devoted fans have supported this team religiously with nothing to show for it.

The Leafs will always be my team, but e-nuff.

What makes it worse.....is that I made my peace with how incredibly unlikely it was that the Leafs would actually sneak in. I give the Devils credit though for actually putting on a flurry at the end of the game to tie it like that, even though they had no stake in actually winning. Now it's time for me to pull for Buffalo to blow the Islanders out of the rink!;-)
