1. Rice

Moss has the physical potential to be the best ever, but isn't even close mentally. He would be unstoppable if he had the dedication and focus that most of the others on this list do. TO gets a lot of bad press too, but the man at least works his ass off.

but I can name a bunch of receivers more fun to watch...


I love receivers who run flat out super fast fly patterns...

not to mention Art Monk, John Stallworth, etc., etc., etc. All better receivers than Lynn Swann who is basically in the Hall of Fame for 2-3 great receptions he made in his career that just happened to occur in the Super Bowl.

I'll go with Harold Carmichael who held the record with over 100 consecutive games with at least one catch. Its been broken a couple of times since Harold, but its still impressive. Great receiver on a some pretty bad Eagle teams.

Another great Eagle was Mike Quick, another guy who had a great career.

11. Rice, no doubt

A current player that has a chance to eventually take over that title: Torry Holt. Nobody talks about him, but he consistently pulls in 80-90 catches a season, makes big plays, gets anywhere from 1300-1600 yards a year, and goes to the Pro Bowl every season. Sounds like a great one to me. Marvin Harrison has a chance too.

He probably has the best physical ability by far, but is pretty far behind Rice mentally. If he ever started focusing, training hard, and playing to his potential, he would be unstoppable. I wouldn't include TO now either, but think that he could and probably will be on the list someday.
