My Heart Says Steelers, But My Head Says Pats |
|
Man, I want the Steelers to win if only to shut up the non-stop N.E. sports fans. Okay, fine. The Pats won last year. Fine. The Sox won it all last year. Fine. It's not like you cured AIDs or something. Your teams are doing well. Fine. You didn't see Tampa Bay Lightening or Florida Marlins fans prattle on and on about their teams when they won it all.
Please Steelers win this game or I'll have to hear how Bellicheck is the greatest coach since Paul Brown.

4. The Steelers will win. |
|
Look at the friggin facts...Everyone wants to pretend like Corey Dillon playing is going to change the tempo of the game so dramatically that the Steelers might aswell not even show up.
We're the #1 def against the run in the NFL. If they wanna run it, I say fine lettem' run it. And if Brady thinks he's gonna throw the ball around like he tried to last time his ass is grass. They don't call this city Blitzburgh for nuthin'. :)

5. You didn't see Lightning and Marlin fans gloat because there AREN'T ANY! |
|
When the Marlins won the World Series a couple of years ago the stadium wasn't even sold out for the stretch run or the first playoff round. Do you think anyone in Florida gave a fuck about the Lightning before they got to the finals? Do you think anyone gives a fuck about them now? NO and NO. I'm glad the Patriots won it last year because a poor fan base like the Carolina Panthers do not deserve to win. They aren't long suffering die-hard fans. It doesn't mean as much to them. When I went down there last year it was a joke the way we took over their town. People were selling tickets by the bushel for less than face value in a game where the Panthers could have clinched their division. We live and die with this shit in some places while it's a nice little excuse to party for these others. I don't sound bitter at all do I?

7. I'm just the opposite--my head says Steelers, but my heart wants the Pats |
|
And as for you comparing the Marlins or Lightening to the Red Sox, give me a break.
86 years! Make a comparison with a team that has suffered just as long, like the Cubs or White Sox!
