Gotta read it. You'll like it...there are two Packers on there, and only one Patriot. :)

1. Personally, I have an issue comparing professional athletes from different eras
Not to dump on your post -- it's an interesting read and one I'm glad you to took the trouble to find. But a lot can change over 50 years -- rules, equipment, schedules, conditioning/training, and in the case of football specifically, the size and shape of the players.

2. But where's Bobby Layne?
Toughest QB ever, according to Sports Illustrated a few years ago.

3. I would have to agree with that assessment.
I only know of Graham and Baugh's reputations.

4. It's interesting, for sure.
You hardly ever hear of Starr mentioned in "greatest ever" discussions, and he comes out on top. They make a pretty good case for him, too. And I say that as a rabid Packer-hating Vikes fan.

6. Yup - just to re-open old wounds...
I looked at the best non-champions. TWO Vikes teams made it on the list! How nice!

10. I thought you'd like that.
Lack of hardware makes for tough assessments.

15. Ha ha
For your information, Sammy Baugh IS largely considered on of the greatest Redskins ever (he always makes the fan lists). I'm fine with him being on the list..btw recent poll greatest Redskin ever (fan pick): Darryl Green.

14. Can't argue heavily with that list
Starr is definitely underrated. He was able to throw downfield successfully whether the Packer ground game was at top form or merely mediocre. That summation makes note of the terrific YPPA numbers.

However, he was INT prone, typical of that era and until the '80s. Starr's lifetime Adjusted Yards Per Pass Attempt, which includes INTs, is quite low at 6.4. Modern QBs are significantly above that range. I think Montana was 6.9.
