I just heard Texas took over the number one ranking...
...but I can't find a link. Kind of surprise, jumping #5 over #2. The season is early, though, so lots can and probably will change.

1. Didn't you read my earlier post?
I always go here on Sunday morning: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/polls

And why shouldn't Texas be ranked over Alabama? Texas beat the #1 team. But they still have Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Kansas to go. All ranked teams. A very tough remaining schedule.

2. Alabama beat the #1 ranked team, also, when Georgia was on top...
...I thought they would have given it to Alabama being #2 since it's not like texas did anything different or better than Bama was capable of doing....doesn't matter though, 1 or 2, you still make it to the BCS championship game, but I'll be willing to bet neither team does...it's too early and too much parity.

10. Florida seems to take its requisite loss in early season...
If Florida and Alabama both win all their remaining respective regular season games, then they will play each other for the SEC championship...and that No. 2 position. The Gators must "pull for" 'Bama to go undefeated until then.

5. Anyone see the Texas QB being interviewed? He said--
And I paraphrase: "God has a plan for the Texas football team." I did not know that. I guess all the other teams should fold up their tents and go home.

6. Maybe the plan is to win the big game, then lose for the rest of the
season? :eyes:

7. I believe that God has a plan for everyone....
But what it is I have no fucking idea.

Texans like God fearing athletes. It gives them something better than themselves to admire.

Now if he had said that God was on their side, I'd ask him what the hell does God care who the fuck wins a stupid football title?

9. And this is why the whole rankings system, not just the BCS is a total joke
Can you imagine if this week happened in the last or second to last weekend of the season? Of course to remedy this, the whole college football system would have to be completely revamped to ensure that any real playoff system is fair, i.e. a school couldn't just fill it's schedule with cupcakes, including annual games against perenially lousy teams in their own conference.
