White House denies Canseco's new allegations
http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/3382234

In his upcoming book, Jose Canseco said he introduced Rafael Palmeiro, Ivan Rodriguez and Juan Gonzalez to steroids after being traded to Texas in 1992, the New York Daily News reported. Canseco said Bush, the Rangers' managing partner at the time, must have known about the drugs.

White House press secretary Scott McClellan said he spoke to Bush about alleged steroid use.

"If there was, he was not aware of it at the time," McClellan said.

1. Why else would Bush add steroids to his SOTN last year if not as a sort
of anticipatory repudiation of this story?

3. That's exactly what I thought. Bush was trying to inoculate HIMSELF from
any charges of looking the other way, so he brings it up in a focking State of the Union speech, fer chrissakes.

He is SO obvious.

7. One of the bizarre aspects of the ongoing steroids mess...
is the fact that the federal government is trying to get DEALERS to roll over on USERS.

When's the last time you heard of such a thing? Never.

Somebody in the fed is going after Bonds. Somebody in the fed wants to destroy him.

Is it because he uses steroids (which I believe he is), or is there another reason?

2. Well coming from McClellan
and *, I have to believe them. They are such honorable men. :eyes: But wait, we are talking about Canseco. Oh crap, whom do I believe? It's obvious though that in the 80's Canseco and McGuire pumped up very quickly along with Brain Downing at around the same period. And Giambi has already admitted to using.

5. He wasn't aware of it at the time because he was too coked up to
pay attention. It's all in how you phrase it :).

6. SOS in the BA: incompetent or liar.
Like Condi & 9/11 not knowing airplanes could be used, now bush not knowing about roid use on his team. The BA PR boils down to incompetent or liar.
