1. I really do think it's time for madinmaryland S.T.F.U. Day.
Actually, it should be S.T.F.U. Days to be accurate, because 24 hours is certainly not long enough,

Maybe there should be a congressional proclomation or something?

Or at the very least, I should be allowed to throw a couple of shoes as hard as I can at your head just because you irriate me sooooo much.

Not to mention Miami cheated today, but I'll be the bigger person and not make a big deal about it.

14. I'm enjoying seeing Miami succeeding
They have a ton of good stories this year, Parcells, Sparano, Pennington, the Wildcat, etc.

But c'mon. Despite SF's resurgance, they were still 5-8 coming into this one. A Miami-SF game this year is only news if Miami loses.

22. Believe me, I'm far from impressed.
The 49ers are terrible and you guys barely won at home.

It was the equivalent of stealing Halloween candy from the retarded kid in the neighborhood and then doing a victory dance.

Not impressed.

18. Again---
Miami is not supposed to be 9-5. I don't care if the Niners were 1-13.....and the Niners have just come off beating the Jets and the Bills.

Don't matter---they won.

10. Let's see--- 1-15 last season, 9-5 so far this season...
They've won 6 out of their 7 last games--- and haven't allowed an opposing team to score a touchdown in the last 12 quarters. 3 games.

Oh and San Fran beat the Jet's and the Bills the last two weeks.

Scoreboard!

16. Of course I didn't make a big deak about it.
I made a big deal about how there needs to be madinmaryland STFU day ....... in particular when it comes to talk about Barry Bonds, the San Francisco 49ers, the San Francisco Giants, Barry Bonds, the San Jose Sharks, the Golden State Warriors, the Tenneessee Vols, Barry Bonds, and all other teams I root for.

3. Thanks to the NFL's inability to schedule its games in a rational manner...
...I didn't see it. See, this game was scheduled for 1:00 pm, Eastern. It was a home game against an NFC opponent, which makes it a Fox game.

The other "local" team, Tampa Bay, had a divisional game. This game was also scheduled at 1:00 pm, also scheduled to be on Fox. So, the network played the Tampa Bay game, rather than the Miami game, as they probably should have.

What I don't get is why, given this network scheduling conflict, and the fact that Miami's NFC opponent was based on the west coast, they didn't schedule the game for a 4pm kickoff. This would have allowed people to watch both games, and probably would have been at a better time for people on the west coast too.

20. Only last year's good teams get national games.
A 4 PM game in an East Coast city is usually a national game and the Dolphins won only one game last year. Therefore they get no prime time or national games.

That's why the NFL schedules the games the way they do.

33. Well that's the NFL's point in scheduling the way they do.
Nobody wants to watch a 1-15 team. The Lions will not be on MNF anytime soon.

31. Dolphins turnover efficiency unprecedented
<snip>

"The Miami Dolphins did not commit a turnover in Sunday's 14-9 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

That broke the NFL record for fewest turnovers through 14 games, the length of an NFL season from 1961 through 1977. The New England Patriots last year had 11 giveaways through their first 14 games.

Miami also is on pace to become the seventh team to average under one turnover per game. They're averaging 0.71 turnovers. The NFL record was set by the 1990 New York Giants, who committed 0.88 turnovers a game in Bill Parcells' last season as their head coach.

But the Elias Sports Bureau uncovered another bit of information that's even more amazing.

The Dolphins have not committed multiple turnovers in any game this year and are working on a streak of 17 straight games with no more than one turnover.

No, the startling part isn't that quarterbacks Cleo Lemon and John Beck played some of those games.

What's most remarkable is that 17 games are the NFL record by a mile.

The team that came closest to stringing together that many games without multiple giveaways? The Indianapolis Colts, who went 11 straight games in 2006 and 2007."
