Tebow to return for senior year

Florida has now got to be the favorite again next year, with Tebow odds on to win another Heisman.

Tim Tebow started to walk off stage, then called an audible. The Florida quarterback turned around, grabbed the microphone and told teammates, coaches and fans exactly what they wanted to hear.

“Oh, by the way, let’s do it again. I’m coming back,” Tebow said.

Tebow thrilled more than 40,000 at the school’s national championship celebration Sunday by announcing plans to return for his senior season, with hopes of leading the Gators to their first undefeated season and fourth national title.

“Overall, I just felt loyal to this place,” Tebow said. “I feel like I’m a role model, and a lot of times people start things and don’t finish them. I didn’t want to be like that. I wanted to be loyal to the university. I wanted to finish what I started and play another year.”

2. As much as I dislike him, he should have won the Heisman this year as well...

...then again, a better matchup would have been Texas against Florida, to see who really should have won the Heisman.

7. The Heisman voters, like the AP voters, bought into the hype that

is Oklahoma. God, how many title games have they gone to that they shouldn't have?

whoever plays best in the big games and shows resolve, should win, no matter which bowl game it is.

He is a great college QB and it won't cost him anything to stay another year.

9. He should have gone now, his stock is very likely going to drop...

because it is very difficult to repeat as champions and/or Heisman winner. Anything short of a perfect season with 40 TDs is only going to be seen as "less than".

10. I heard some of the talking heads say that what cost Tebow the Heisman this year is

that some of the voters DIDN'T EVEN VOTE FOR HIM!!! He had the most 1st place ballots but getting completely left off of other ballots was his undoing.

I'm no big Tebow fan, but that is just plain wrong.

11. Yeah, sounds like some people really had it out for him...he got the

most first place votes yet finished third...those voters essentially rigged it for Bradford...oh well, he gets to go home with a loss and won't come close to winning again next year.

12. He is a fantastic college football player

but probably a third or fourth round project for some NFL team. That's a different world.
