SB XLIII was exciting -- thanks to the prevent defense
Both teams switched to softer defenses too early. I could understand calling the prevent in the LAST DRIVE when Arizona got the ball with under :40 or seconds to play. But Warner picked the Steelers apart in scoring the go-ahead TD to Fitzgerald with minutes to play, and then Roethlisberger did the same thing on the ensuing Steeler possession with two minutes left.

The ending was undoubtedly exciting. I just hate the circumstances -- conservative play calling -- that made it so.

Prevent defenses drive me crazy. If you think otherwise, I'd love to hear it.

2. And that's why I hate them. The best defense against the pass is
to disrupt the QB's timing.

3. Yep, the Giants proved that last season.
They didn't have a lot of playmakers in the secondary, but thanks to all that pressure from the likes of Umeniyora, Tuck and Strahan, it didn't make much difference.
