1. The sports forum is practically ruined

Look at all of the deleted posts and deleted sub-threads as recent as yesterday.

What a shame this was initiated.

This forum used to be ignored. Now it's watched like a hawk like the Israel/Palestine forum. :eyes:

since the All Star game the Thornton line hasn't been scoring at their accustomed rate. I'd rather have them go through this now than during the playoffs....a little adversity will make them stronger in the long run.

The Sharks are locked in to the #1 or 2 seed in the West, sometimes they're not as motivated as they need to be for every game....particularly against lesser teams.

36. There's nothing wrong with the Sharks

It's a little difficult to maintain an .800 winning percentage the entire season. They certainly played well enough against the Blue Jackets to beat them, outshooting them and just missing on many scoring chances. Their goalie made some great saves. This is my first time seeing him; his play reminded me of Nabokov. The Sharks have nothing to be ashamed about losing to Columbus as they are a good team and have played well in the past against the Sharks. A couple of favorable bounces would have won it for the Sharks.

Right now they have 3 games in hand on Detroit and 4 on Boston. I'm not worried about them losing their #1 seed in the West. All props due to Boston for having an outstanding year. The Sharks play at the Gahden on Tuesday, so this will be a great test for them to see how they might match up against the Bruins. They have an East Coast road trip here where they'll be playing some tough teams. I think they'll do just fine as they have pretty much owned the games against Eastern teams the last 3 years. In fact, the Western Conference as a whole has matched up well against the East this season. The Sharks just need to concentrate on having the best overall record as they will need home ice in the playoffs, considering their dominance at the Shark Tank.
