9. Then may I suggest
that you be a little more precise for the parameters you believe entitle someone to be a great owner. Your list of "great owners" is as laughable as your list of teams you root for.

7. Yep.
He's most famous for being the owner of the Redskins through the Super Bowl years, but he also owned the Lakers (getting a ring in '72 and building the Forum) and founded the L.A. Kings.

8. Yep. GREAT owner.
Do you remember when there was that first visit of Chuck and Di to DC and it was the same weekend of the 'Skins' first playoff game against Dallas under Gibbs, and Cooke, as a Canuck, was invited to the garden party Chuck and Di were giving at the same time as the game and some reporter asked Cooke if he was going to go to the garden party at the Brit Embassy and his response was, "You've GOT to be kidding me."

10. George Bush
He did a bang up job as the owner of the Texas Rangers and did himself proud as the lone dissenting vote on reorganizing baseball into three divisions in each league with a post season that included a wild card.

When asked about his lone no-vote he said, "I think history will prove me right."

Baseball has made huge money under the new system.

13. To be fair (to all Rangers fans)
Bush only held a very small share of the ownership at any given time. He was given the post of managing general partner by the majority shareholders because the Bush name was, and unfortunately still is, very popular in the state.

I just like the opportunity to bring up his statement about history will prove him right every chance I get

Because that's what he says about his presidency

18. ROONEYS
The Rooneys should certainly be part of it. The owners of the team with MOST superbowl wins must done something right. Dan Rooney has SIX rings, more than any other owner. I dont know of which owner would have the second most, but it is probably only three.
