Seahawks sign OT Walter Jones

If the Seahawks can get Matt Hasselbeck signed (likely) this will impact the Free Agent market pretty dramatically.

Shawn Alexander (expected to be the best FA running back on the market) will have the franchise tag put on his neck.

I think Seattle might look to trade Alexander if he puts up a stink about the Franchise tag. It sure looked like he couldn't wait to get out of Seattle at the end of last year.

In any event, they won't be losing him for nothing. And if they had had to franchise Jones that is exactly what was going to happen.

were going to try and fix there o-line.
is it possible that the seahawks could Franchise Alexander then trade him to the Cincy for rudi Johnson who just got franchisee and is unhappy being in cincy. Plus Alexander is from N.Kentucky so he might want to sign with cincy.

2. It will come down to whether Alexander is going to be a disruption or not.

If he is okay playing on a one year deal I think they'll gladly keep their offense together. If not then a deal for Rudi Johnson might not be a terrible thing to consider.
