Roger has a very sound physical work out routine. I think he just works very hard and that he's in very good shape.

Not sure that's so out of the ordinary. besides, he was so damn big to begin with he'd be monstrous by now! With McGwire, Bonds and a few others, you can see how damn big they got.

23. And the guy never would have been on the show if not for Canseco's book!
That's what really bothers me about Jose--he talks about people he supposedly did steroids with, which, I suppose is fair game, but he makes a fleeting comment about Roger in his book, noting that he has no knowledge Roger ever did steroids, or even heard any rumors, BUT, he sayd Roger "looks" like he did.

What fucking shit.

They should him on ESPN one day, I think his trainer was on, I also erad some stuff on it in various mags. Maybe it was for publicity sake but I still think Roger works really hard.

29. (Another Q) Will a significant number of players look smaller this season?
Edited on Thu Feb-17-05 07:28 PM by HuckleB
"Will a significant number of players look smaller this season after baseball adjusted its penalties for ster oids violations?

Actually, a lot of players looked smaller last year, even with al most no threat of serious punish ment for testing positive for drugs. Although home runs were up overall in baseball, nobody hit 50 home runs, a figure that hasn't been reached since Alex Rodri guez hit 57 in 2002 and a number we may not see for a while unless clubs continue to build hitter- friendly parks such as the one in Philadelphia."

This hit me as interesting, since this came up in conversation throughout last year, in almost every ballpark I went to. A lot of fans noticed that the players looked smaller, in general, last year, after they knew the crap was flying about sterioids.

31. Hell, Barry Bonds didn't look smaller! And didn't he set the record in
2003? I'm questioning the part where they say A-Rod was the last to hit over 50 in 2002.

Bonds' broke the record in 2001.
Edited on Thu Feb-17-05 09:16 PM by HuckleB
And, you're right, Bonds didn't look smaller overall, last year. But he didn't look smaller (or bigger) in the right ways, either, if you get my drift. I suspect his biceps were a bit smaller last year. As for the rest of him...

:toast:

Oops. Maybe Barry's been doing that a bit too much.
