Cowboys' scouting assistant paralyzed
The Cowboys issued a release moments ago updating the status of three people that were taken to the hospital after their indoor practice facility collapsed.

Rich Behm, a scouting assistant, sustained a fracture to the thoracic spine that caused a severing of his spinal cord and permanent paralysis from the waist down. He underwent surgery Saturday night and remains at Parkland Hospital in stable condition.

1. Very sad. I hope when he is out of danger he can still scout for them. nt

4. I thought about this. Scouts are on the road, they are in the basements of college football
programs watching film. They are standing on the sidelines or climb up a stairs to bleachers. Sadly, I don't think he will be able to continue in his current profession. If he tries he is going to be facing some serious obstacles. I would expect Jerry to give him a front office job though. For all the negative comments we make about the guy, he strikes me as a man who will take care of his injured people.

5. I think so too. I think he should pay a player that doesn't make the team...
to be his aide to accompany him on scouting missions.

3. Read this this morning. The other two could have been in the same situation
but luckily they weren't as unfortunate.
