Why baseball is the greatest game of all.

Me and a buddy went to the Mariner-A's game yesterday in Seattle. The game took fifteen innings and was worth every minute!
The Mariners, with a new management team and many new position players are showing some grit this year. Grit that's been missing the past few years.
How are they showing this quality? In the ninth, needing one to tie, they get it on a solo homer. In the 13th, after giving up 3 to the A's (why they gave up three is a whole other post), they clawed back to score three to tie the game again.
The A's last pitcher, coming into the game in the 9th, threw 108 pitches in relief.............
Finally in the 15th they manage to load the bases and get a short single to center to score the winning run and win 8-7!
The best part? It was little league day and still lots of kids in the stands when the winning run scored! :party:
