Didn't they just lose a broadcaster, too?

I also saw that Dom DiMaggio died this week. The Tiges just lost George Kell and Mark Fidrych. An era is truly passing. God, I love the game of baseball, but each year it is less the boys of summer and more of a circus.

2. Yeah, Harry Kalas died one afternoon right before he was to

broadcast a Phillies game. Harry was an incredible voice in Baseball. His death postponed the Phillies White House World Series Trip. Don't know when thats gonna happen.

3. I don't even know how they managed to broadcast that game at all

sports announcers are true professionals (at least the good ones, I'm certainly not talking about Marv "Yess! Jordan!" Alpert or the Kobe droolers). They hide a lot of personal grief at times while doing their jobs.
