New Statesman political writing contest

Entries are invited for the Barry Amiel and Norman Melburn Trust/New Statesman Prize for New Political Writing on the subject:

Do women’s rights remain the privilege of the developed world?

Entrants must be under 30 on Friday 29 April 2005, which is the closing date for entries. There will be a prize of £1,000 for the winning essay, which will be published in the New Statesman, and prizes of £500 and £250 for those placed second and third.
