I go to my clinic for a check up. There are a lot of Hispanic people in the clinic. I sit next to a portly Hispanic woman.
Over by the door a young and very pretty little Hispanic girl is dancing to the music only she can hear. She has all the moves, her feet move to the silent beat, her arms move just so in the dance she has learned, her head sways from side to side, her long hair swings freely. Her back is to me. She finishes her dance turns and sees me watching her.
I clap my hands together quietly. She smiles comes to the woman sitting beside me. Leaning against the woman she says to me; "What is your name?" I start to say Eduardo, but I stop myself and say instead; "Edward". "My name is Cindy and this is my grandmother." She replies. Grandmother and I smile at each other, sharing for a moment her precious grand daughter.
