Any book reviewers...or those with experience with book interviews?
I find myself doing freelance research and writing, and am loving it, but there is much to learn from project to project. I'm currently working on media kits for a new author (he's Canadian, by the way...not a Bush fan at all...lol). For the radio interviews, I'm compiling a list of suggested questions which may be used for the interview. For book review interviews, however - should he be so blessed as to have this opportunity - I am trying to find out if book reviewers EVER like to receive pre-set questions? My first instinct is a resounding NO.....but I thought I'd ask for others' thoughts.

On a personal note, it is sooooooooo very cool (and comforting) to have a place like DU where I know I can find help for anything and everything, and very knowledgeable, reliable help at that.

Thanks in advance to all you wonderful DUers!!!!!

1. I wouldn't say preset
I did a few radio interviews and so on a few years ago and typically when it was being set up they just let me generally know what to expect. They sometimes will ask a writer if they want to talk about too. It may be a good idea to take that approach with the radio interviewers, and it sounds like you are doing that. For the book reviewers, I am not so sure. I would think not, but it may not hurt to at least have a set of questions ready, or to suggest to a reviewer that the writer would like to talk about some specific topic or another. Or that he would like the reviewer to maybe pay particular attention to a certain message or something that the writer was trying to convey.
