I just sold a fantasy novel
I've been published in romance in 1994 and have been publishing short, erotic romances. This is my first fantasy. It's tentatively called The Golden One and will be published by Cerridwen Press. I don't know when it'll be out, but the book has been done for over a year. Finally sold it.

4. Thanks
I actually finished this book beside my husband's bed while he was dying. In part, it was my escape from reality, and I'm thrilled someone will publish it. I only hope a few people buy it.

2. That's excellent--congratulations!
:woohoo:

Are you able to give a hint about the plot or setting?

You must let us know when it comes out!

3. Thanks to both of you
It arose from a very vivid dream I had about the birth of a remarkable baby and how I made an instant connection with her.

It's set in a semi-feudal society with two classes of people. My heroine is a servant who's been raped repeatedly by her noble lord. After the death of her child (his child), she suspects by murder, she kills him and tries to escape to the capital city. She finds herself "rescued" by another lord who's a very decent sort. His wife is pregnant by her cousin, the evil king, and she's in a semi-coma throughout most of her pregnancy. Her childbirth reflects the one in my dream, and the heroine reflects my place in it.

The central question is...is this child the Golden One predicted by prophecy to restore balance to the capital city and the entire land? My heroine has to foster her and keep her safe along the journey and through the battle against the evil king.

5. That is fantastic!
Congratulations, and I'm so sorry to hear about the time in which it was written.

6. Thanks so much
I've always wanted to write stories that take place in worlds I've created. We'll see how this one does.
