Colorado's Indoor Smoking Ban

My wife, who's been very anti-smoking for a long time, wrote this up as an answer to a letter in a local free newspaper. I converted it to HTML and put it on our site.

We don't entirely agree on this. Rather, I love the effects of the new Colorado law. It makes life far more pleasant for me. But I also respond positively to the argument that restaurant owners should have the right to decide that issue for their own property.

Here's her argument. She hopes to expand it in the future.

Mrs. D is very persuasive. After countless failed attempts to quit smoking, I quit for good as a birthday present to myself this year. I can't explain to anyone why it was so easy this time, except that I decided that I wasn't going to smoke any more. I probably wouldn't have gotten to that point if I had not been "harrassed" by modern laws that forced me outside to smoke. Six dollars a pack prices for cigarettes was also a big motivator. I hope Mrs. D will continue to write on the issue. I enjoyed her writing very much.
