I just thought I'd take a peek in here since I so rarely do anymore, not that I was ever a regular. (For someone whose handle is as mine is, that's rather pathetic, I should say. :P) Some of you I see floating around the site, but others not, so--how is your writing going, in general?
I'm always plugging away at poetry, "writing" in my head, writing for school, etc., but this fall into winter I've had TWO whole big projects going on. First, I'm involved in a contest for HS juniors (even though I'm a sophomore ) that is sponsored by the Maine Women's Literary Union, which is for prize money. Producing a solid 3-5 double-spaced paged submission that explores the theme of "anticipation" has been interesting, to say the least. Meanwhile, for my Virtual High School creative writing class I've been writing a much longer short story for my "final" piece. This bit of writing has been rather taxing, though amusing, and deals with my limited perception of jazz and the modern jazz world.
I'll check this thread for any responses pretty frequently over the next week or so, but if you've anything really urgent to tell me (though I can't think what that could be :D), you can always PM me or give a shout-out in the Lounge, my usual haunt--I'm there for a while most every evening.
:hi:
