Well I have more cartography programs than I care to admit on my computer, some of them considered the "industry standard" yet I keep coming back to Autorealm

This is a FREE mapping program that with some practice can produce serviceable maps

With some more practice it actually produces publishable maps

I've downloaded and installed it. I don't know when I'll have a chance to play with it, but I look forward to doing so.

Somewhere on my list of books-to-complete is a fantasy novel for which I drew my own crappy map. This should help a lot.
