4. For now, fiction..........

something about a loopy 30 something woman making sense of herself and her life.
Right now, I'm stuck though.

Or something explodes.

Of course it could be a metaphor, or just a motif, but it might get you going.

For instance, your uncle could come in the door with a hunting rifle, getting
ready for a trip upstate.

Or your son could come up from the basement with an old shotgun he wants to
get out of the house.

The explosion could be on the TV, or it could be a fireball on the barbeque
grill when someone used too much lighter fluid. Or maybe they're blasting
somewhere, building a road or demolishing an old bridge.

then the "gratuitious sex" could also just be in her mind, as nothing else makes any sense ;)

You don't have to have physical action; mental imbalances are always interesting, with the right twist. Of course, it could be physical action within the mind, yet we readers are not aware of it until you get to the twist :)
