2. I'm playing unofficially

More than anything else, I'm using it as a way to get myself to write consistently, which is a discipline that has always been difficult for me to maintain.

3. I developed it from years of doign this

I decided to jump in as I started my characters from the future nexus world bug me again.

Last time that happened I got a draft zero in oh 15 days, and it was 45K words... so they started getting buggy again... so oh well, lets go.

I have already gotten to the day's goal...

4. I'm doing it--started a little late too

but only because I've been under the weather. 3500+ words so far, most of them written yesterday. I have no idea if I'll "win"--make the 50,000 word count--but I'm not focusing on that--just hoping to write a good first draft.

5. I'm over 8,000

the reason why I decided to do it is... hot under my but. Happened back in May... and lord that draft went out so fast it wasn't even funny. This is a real experience, and I am enjoying it.

7. Wish I could

November is always too busy with half the month consumed by the holiday and family commitments every year. I wish they'd pick a winter month when I'm usually at home parked under a blanket writing away anyway.

and up to 21K+ words... I am on a hot writing streak.

What may slow me is the sex... part of the plot, but hard to write around it.

But hey, that is what happens when one uses an ancient religion that includes fertility rites.

10. It sounds like your novel is better planned than mine

I have a rough idea of what's going to happen in the end but I don't know how my characters are going to get there because I don't seem to have any control over their actions. :silly:
Now you've got me thinking I should include a sex scene. I'll wait to see whether one of the characters insists on one. :D

11. Well been considering bringing this element to the story line

of the game for ahem over a year. And yes, I have to do it with some care.

12. I am amazed at how fast this is going

after this is done I will need to do some serious rewriting, yes I did kill a character... so his death has to be done in far more details

But hey, move on and just write.

13. Reached 50,071 tonight

phew... hot writing streaks indeed when I got to 45K i was done, so I started working on side plots... now I can put it on ice and I KNOW It will need extensive rewriting. There is some of this that WILL NEED to be changed if I want to sell it. Hell some of those scenes will have to go into the RESEARCH section... yes they are that salty, but that is a story I wanted to tell for a while. Now I have to find a way to clean it.

14. 50,194 about half an hour ago

Had a tussle with the verifier--it counted differently from NeoOffice--but once I put spaces before and after ellipses and em dashes, I hit a magic number. Wasn't anywhere near the count I had, but it was good enough.

Interesting thing--I am nowhere near done. I'm about halfway, maybe two thirds through the story. Of course, it could be because this morning I decided I'm going to burn the main character's house down. :evilgrin: Ahh, it'll be good for her. Character-builder and all that.

Also interesting--I can't wait to get back at it (after I finish a freelance job in the next couple of days). I really think I can finish this!
