Well it finally happened

been trying to avoid writing about a very dark future for us... but the last USSC decision finally had me do it. So here I am writing a piece on how to remain free in a fully closed society....

I don't know how long this will be, and quite brutally honest, don't expect it to ever see the light of day... not in this day and age... but that is the nature of it.

Realize creating a whole sub culture based on the Samizdat is SCARY... Samizdat was the underground culture in the old USSR... but that is where we may be going... though in new and creative ways. A new gulag system may rise, but no need for prisons... the prison of the mind is pretty much in place anyway.

I also realize that it's been a few of us who saw it coming... but at this point this is the best I can do, I fear... deal with this in a Gibson like way and hope that perhaps that sees the light of day.

My main character is a seventy something who is VERY WELL read, which in our current world is dangerous. I realized as I downloaded The Gulag that this was a common book to be read in colleges not long ago, but no longer. Instead we are in a culture that has its stars determined by a media that needs crap...

Sad... oh and this is the first really hard core literary fiction I ever do.
