1. A book would be a great idea

You might have to do it yourself, because agents and publishers are generally wary about memoirs from the non-famous.

Self-publishing is fine if the author doesn't have high expectations. However, a book like yours could be advertised on various medical sites and blogs and might find a good niche audience.
