Goal: to post, within this thread, a message that sets out a very clear description of what is unclear about the "OP" or Original Message of
the DU thread that is accessible from this link.Note: I encourage you to use whatever style is most convenient or effective for you. Don't restrict yourself to any kind of essay format, unless that's what you personally prefer for this challenge. You can use a Socratic dialog. You can alternate between very short fiction and micro-essays. You can write the whole thing as a single poem or dramatic work ("play") that is allegorical. These are merely examples, and aren't to be taken as an exhaustive list of your stylistic alternatives. For this challenge, consider yourself to be completely at liberty when it comes to style. The only restriction is content. Your content should serve to shed light on the matter and reveal, even to the obtuse, that there are defects in the OP referred to above, and that these defects specifically have the effect of making that OP unclear.
If you cannot post in this thread because you don't have a star, then I'm hoping that no DU rules will be either broken or bent if you post your contest entry in DU's
Media forum. After all, DU is itself an (online) medium. If you post your entry in the Media forum, then please use an existing thread (if you can find one) on this topic. If you cannot find one, then start your own thread and, to make it fairly easy for anybody to find your Media forum thread, start your title with the word sequence: "What is unclear" to make it fairly easy for people to find your thread by searching thread titles on the first three pages of the Media forum.
Contest ends at 9 AM (in your time zone) on the first Monday in August.
