I just finished composing the latest batch of query letters to literary agents as I grovel for someone to represent my novel. Each letter/submission, 20 in this round, is different from the others, in accordance with the weird requirements of each agency. Now I will let them sit for a day or two before I reread them, correct any errors, likely rewrite my opening paragraphs, and send them out to join the other eight I sent last week. And I'm gonna do at least four more batches like this. Ugh.
I have been trying to explain the rules of querying to my husband. He loses the thread and merely shakes his head at the stupid methods required to please all the different agents. He is a very intelligent individual.
Good luck, Nadin. :hi:
