3. Is it legal to make your own alcohol?
Because I believe that a pot plant is just botanically fascinating.

5. I've made my own beer and my own wine...
...but I don't think it would be legal to distill my own "hard stuff."

4. It's nice to dream...
But this ain't NEVER going to happen.

NEVER.

Know how they tell you to never say never?
I'M SAYIN' NEVER!

The BUFFALO BILLS have a better chance of winnin' the SUPER BOWL than pot does of ever being legal.
It ain't gonna happen.

Fuhgehetaboudit...

They will lock up every pot smoker in America, piss off every enlightened country in the world that dismisses pot paranoia, before they EVER legalize it in this country.

But, I'm with you UDF and I hear you.
My next bowl is for you.

8. Never say never....
I mean 10 years ago that's what Canadians were saying. Now - the decriminalisation bill has been tabled - the gov't will vote on in next year. It will probably pass. YAY!

11. Unfortunately I think you're right
There will be the few zones of allowed medical usage, though the feds will perpetually harangue them, and a few zones here and there where it's decriminalized.

But it's not very likely to ever be legalized.

And that is very shameful and stupid.

6. When you study
the history of marijuana and it's legality, you realize that it's a more subdued form of racism. given how our country is. I don't know if it will EVER be legal. Sure we may pretend to be enlightened and fair, but as this last election has proven, the roots of bigotry and discrimination run DEEP.

7. It should be legal
But treated like alcohol. Driving under the influence of marijuana should be a crime like DUI.

And I support legalization, despite the fact I have no interest in consuming marijuana. Busting potheads is just not a good use of the justice system.

9. It should be legal
It is less harmful than alcohol and many prescription drugs. It will not kill first time and other inexperienced users like some other illegal drugs.

10. America's drug policy is a joke
I think the drug warriors' stance against medical marijuana shows their true colors. Arresting somebody for marijuana is bad enough, but arresting somebody for taking their medicine shows a lack of compassion and a lack of common sense. I'd like to see vice laws eliminated entirely, because they have no place in a free society.

12. Restrictions
I voted to legalize marijuana, but to treat it the same as alcohol.

That said, I'd like to reduce many of the restrictions on alcohol. The age to purchase alcohol should be 18. All of the silly blue laws and most of the liquor establishment permitting requirements should be repealed.

I do favor strict enforcement of DUI laws, however, and those should apply equally to marijuana and alcohol.

15. DUI should ONLY be for alcohol
No "street" drug affects your motor control like alcohol.

13. What to do with the imprisoned?
As much as I think we should legalize drugs to remove the revenue from smuggling. Don't expect congress to change it's view till we figure out what to say to all those sitting in prison.

14. Say, "You're free to go."
"You broke the laws that existed back then, but now the laws have changed. Have a nice life! Oh yeah, since you didn't commit any violent act, you now have a clean record."

I am not stoned, just dreaming.

16. #3 Legal to own but not to sell..
My household is avidly involved with Medical Marijuana issues.

One member of my family is an active member with the famous WAMM co op.

I just saw the bobbleheads on TV butchering the whole issue with lies and fear tactics...(regarding the supreme court decisions.)

MM might not be for everyone but it works wonderfully for many. It is an HERB. Like comfry, st. john's wort..etc etc..

Over the course of my lifetime, I've used any number of herbs and naturals in concoctions to sooth my stomach, to help me sleep, to calm my nerves (homeopathic remedies). What is the difference between using those herbs and using Cannabis? Nothing!

For the most part, there is obviously a corporate/political roadblock. The power's that be are afraid they can't make any money off this adventure..NOR would people be buying their "New Drugs", they spend so much money advertising for!!!

The opponents of Med. Mari. are sooooo full of shit! I've just written to our local co op to see how I can help with a writing campaign. Not only do the feds disallow a person to find a natural remedy for their woes, they also want to "spy" on docs and patients when they decide they need pain medications!! GET OUT OF MY FACE! I'm so furious. What a freaking dictatorial scam!

18. Potheads of the world unite! I am becoming an advocate of mass, open defiance of the law...
My dad's friend used to roll and smoke joints just about anywhere (I remember vividly seeing him rolling outside of the hospital during a visit to my mother, walking through parking lots, and sometimes getting his ass thrown out of bars...) He didn't give a shit. He's in his 60's now and just as defiant as ever. I think all of us who enjoy the herb should be this defiant and courageous.

My dad used to occasionally warn him. Mike would always reply, "who the hell is going to stop me?" :-)

Yes, he does have a prison record. An impressive one.
