cannabis makes me violently ill. alcohol does not alter my reality, either, as do a number of the substances you mentioned.

and I do drink coffee, too.

actually, within the pharmaceutical meaning of the word "drug", I object to the villification of alcohol and caffeine as "drugs"

3. Nothing alters reality
the drugs in question alter your perception of reality. Alcohol does this as well.

If alcohol does not give you a headache you are one of the very few who is lucky enough not to experience a hangover.

10. I don't know about the people you know, but amoung the people I know,
very few get headaches from alcohol, and very few get hangovers. of course, that could be because most of us don't drink all that much, either. and alcohol has yet to alter my perception of reality, ever.

it isn't a general assumption that the consumption of alcohol automatically gives one hangovers. there is such a thing as moderation, which a good many people are capable of practicing.

that was a very interesting comment.

6. I object to villification of mind altering substances
I OBJECT!

It's a shame that we so easily go from habit to addiction, but let's face it, some people are far more concerned that anyone might experiencing anything other than their puritan reality, so much that if you could truly make an addiction free pleasure narcotic they would still go out of their way to ban it.

7. Ecstasy
man, i got to get my hands on some of this before it gets even more illegal. the science channel tv shows really make this look like a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the demographic that enjoys this is two generations younger than I am.
