1. I don't know if this is for real -
but I certainly don't see how it could hurt -
I am cynical enough toward the gov't., lobbyists, medical and pharm. industry to be very open-minded to this approach -
interestingly enough the reason I clicked on this thread was because I had spent the past few hours digging up info on the susan g. komen "race for the cure" foundation - and what I found, for the most part, was that they make a ton of money from cancer treatment... their emphasis is on screenings (mammograph machines owned by GE in which the komen foundation holds stock) - and too many other corp. holdings to even go into -
the sgk mission is research, detection, and education - - - but not prevention, cause (environment, corporate polluters, etc.) - and, most importantly, I didn't read anything about aiding the uninsured...
my mother had cancer - had a ton of tests - had surgery - and never recoverd - I will always wonder if there was (is) something else out there that corporate america would not allow - simply because they would not make a profit -
thanks for your video

18. You may rest assured the pharmaceutical industry is -
- actively engaged in lobbying our Congress to prevent the legalization of marijuana specifically because they know it has medicinal benefits which will replace some (many?) of the products they patent and profit from.

One prominent example is the wide range of prescription tranquilizers, Valium (diazapam) and others. These tranquilizers represent one of the most profitable prescription drug categories in the pharmaceutical marketplace. But anyone who uses marijuana knows there is no more effective, non-addictive and safe tranquilizer in existence. Marijuana is best described as a euphoric tranquilizer and if it were legal it would ultimately cost the pharmaceutical industry billions of dollars in lost revenue.

I recall my mother and aunts talking about a popular over-the-counter drug-store product called Lydia Pinkum's Ladies Tonic which was very effective in relieving menstrual discomfort. It was a thick, dark brown syrup that tasted like licorice and was also good to rub on the gums of colicky and teething babies (like my brother, me, and our cousins) because it quieted us and made us sleepy.

Lydia Pinkum's was eventually discontinued when the Harrison Act caught up with it because it was made from concentrated THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) oil, licorice root and honey. It was liquified marijuana with a sweetener and flavoring.

So I can say I was a stoner when I was still in diapers.

2. Cancer is no single disease
There are many different types of cancer therefore there will never be any one single cure for cancer.

3. well thanks for your "opinion".
I guess that means you're against researching this claim about MJ? They're claiming it stops all forms. Or most forms. Here's some related research video. :hi:

4. No, it's not my opinion
It's mere fact.
Cancer is the general name for a group ofmore than 100 diseases in which cells in a part of the body begin to grow out of control. Although there are many kinds of cancer, they all start because abnormal cells grow out of control.
http://www.cancer.org/docroot/CRI/content/CRI_2_4_1x_What_Is_Cancer.asp

I doubt cannabis oils can stop cancer cells from replicating, but if this person can back up his claims with evidence, then by all means, yes, cannabis oil should be seriously investigated as a treatment for cancer.

5. I'd say you supported opinion rather than fact
As your own post points out they all have at least one point in common, they cause "cells in a part of the body begin to grow out of control". That looks like a common target for the bunch of them. What causes that growth instead of the cell death that's supposed to happen when cells go wrong? Is there a common mechanism that pot would have an effect on in that way or with other aspects of cancer? How about genetic engineering or treatments other than pot since we're into big claims like never rather than specific to pot? I don't know and neither do you so the claim that we'll *never* find a single cure seems a bit of a stretch. Stating it as a fact when in fact it's your conjecture is a bit of a reach.

Personally I'd think the odds are good that there will never be a single "cure" as such, but that's odds and personal opinion, not fact. As useful as penicillin is it still doesn't control everything and what it did control in the past is evolving out of its control now. But as we learn more about genetics and figure out exactly how these things do replicate and spread it's likely we'll find at least something with a broad ability to fight cancers pretty much across the spectrum. Maybe even cure depending on how much they have in common in key areas such as how and why they first establish or replicate. Never is an awful long time in the face of advancing technologies and a growing understanding of how things actually work at the most basic levels. We haven't done it before, true, but we're doing lots of things these days we never did before. One day that could be another one of them.

claims also in the video I posted? I think I'll go with the research rather than your mere beliefs.

10. It's Cannabidiol
It is different from THC but it comes from Marijuana. It is known to inhibit cancer cell growth not completely stop or cure cancer but it reduces it's growth. More information is here http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/318/3/1375

Cannabidiol is classified as a Schedule I drug despite having no psychoactive effects and no known abuse potential. It is not the same as THC but I guess since it is from Marijuana which may explain the classification.

I am not a donor so I couldn't post anything in the "cancer support group". If you are donor please post this link there with a note that certainly there has to be investigation and research. Signs are there that it is true, in breast cancer research for example, and these people need to know. What do you think?

If this would be a hoax, the actors were just amazing. Very touching indeed....but who would do something like that?

13. I am trying to in IL
I am trying to help people in IL. I opened a medical club and got jack booted two days after opening. I am currently trying to fight the charges. My attorney says i can get probation, maybe. I am not going to give up though. The government needs to pull it's head out of it's proverbial ass. They say that the 13 states that told them they where wrong, can prescribe marijuana;but, the rest of us still get screwed with the schedule 1 sh%t. If there are medical uses in the 13 states then there are medical uses. Get it out of schedule 1 already,. What are they waiting for? More people to die. They cannot have jesus in there hearts, and do something this cruel. Jesus said help the sick, not make them criminals. Please government pukes; Pull your head out of your a##!

16. I have his phone number
I have rick's phone number , if anyone wants it. You can get it from information. If you want to get it yourself; it is Ricky Simpson in Canada. I called him and asked if everything is 100% accurate in his movie. He said it is all true. He cured cancer and other ailments, such as diabetes and skin legions. Fight for those who can't fight for themselves. There are people that are going to die today; cause they can't get their medication. They need us to stand up for them. Please help them if you can. Thank You

20. My personal experience with hash oil....
I don't like calling it hmp oil because its too easily confused with Hemp Seed Oil which you can find most anywhere.

Anyway, I saw this video about a year ago. I am VERY skeptical. I did however remember where they mentioned it could remove skin cancers and odd shaped moles if used topically. Ive had a small but very dark mole for years which I was never worried about other than I just didn't like it. Out of curiosity, I made a small batch of the oil and used it topically on the mole. I applied the oil once a day after my morning shower and covered it with a band aid. After a few days the mole scabbed over and is no longer there. So while im still skeptical, I know this oil isn't total BS...
