Obama is still busting medical clubs
I just read a story on Democratic underground.
The DEA is raiding a clinic in SF , right now. What a crock of s%#t. The are still arresting patients. When are they going to wake up? I can't wait for the pitchforks to come out. There are a lot of them that need to remember treason is a hanging offense. Making patience become criminals should be treason. Wake up America

6. I knew it -
Obama's Presidency is a total failure.

I knew it the moment the Chief Justice screwed up the oath.

Come to think of it, I'm not really sure he's a legitimate President.

For instance, has anyone ever seen his birth certificate?

7. Did he get to wear one of those cool SWAT uniforms?
...and what's this about "treason"? Treason has a specific definition and I don't see where busting medical marijuana clubs (which are in violation of federal law) qualifies as treason.

12. No. I might work to change federal law, but I wouldn't call it treason.
Edited on Wed Mar-25-09 09:25 PM by MercutioATC
For two reasons:

1) It's against federal law. Until that changes, enforcement is the RESPONSIBILITY of federal agencies.

2) Even if it wasn't a violation of federal law, busting a medical marijuana club wouldn't qualify as treason.

9. ok smart a#$es try making a point instead of nitpicking
Ok he didn't do it personally, but, he is in charge. He is the president. He could tell the DEA not to do this; or he could simply reclassify marijuana into schedule 3.

Obama administration changes medical marijuana policy

Last Update: 3/19 8:40 pm
Print Story | Email Story

The Obama administration announced a change of federal policy toward medical marijuana. And that means federal agents will stop raiding pot dispensaries operating legally under California law. But what does that mean locally and will we see more pot shops open in Kern County?

The Obama administration says it no longer will raid shops that obey the law in states like California where medical marijuana is legal. But law enforcement officials say here in Kern County, they will still prosecute pot shops selling marijuana for profit.
----------------------
Saleen says while medical marijuana may be legal in California, last year California’s highest court clearly defined who can possess pot under the law.

“It is a crime under California law to possess marijuana unless you are a qualified medical marijuana patient or a qualified medical marijuana caregiver. And it's a felony in California to provide or sell marijuana unless you're one of those people,” Saleen said.

The only open medical marijuana provider we found in Kern County was the California Co-Op Compassionate Center on North Chester Avenue. But employees would not talk to us when we went there. Mike Saleen of the District Attorney's Office says center like this can only stay open if they are made up of only qualified patients or caregivers and do not make a profit.

13. When 'patience become criminals' (sic)
I will be concerned.

In all honesty some of the 'medical marijuana clubs' are in fact fronts for dealing. I would like to see them regulated and licensed.

I live 30 or so miles from the busted club.

Let's just legalize it, tax it, and all go home happy.:smoke:
