Bill Maher and guests discuss Obama's Marijuana statement
It was surprising how many of the arguments that Bill made supporting legalization were previously discussed here on DU. Do you think he is listening?

Or more importantly, do you think Obama was listening?

2. I have now.
This is good news!

From the link in the thread above:

Alarmed by prisons that are clogged with mentally ill people, drug users and other non-violent offenders while well-armed gangs and drug lords often go unpunished, Virginia Sen. Jim Webb will launch a wide-ranging and politically risky campaign today to overhaul the nation's criminal justice system.

That is something like the proposal in Ohio:

Ohio's county prosecutors are recommending major changes to state drug laws, including the elimination of mandatory prison sentences for trafficking and possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, except in the most serious cases.

3. I'm thinking POTUS would prefer Sen. Webb initiate this instead of
himself. I'd prefer that too and I do think major changes to state drug laws should happen.
