One Pot, Shake and Bake methamphetamine in 2 Liter Bottles

I read about the ease of making meramphetamine in small batches in two liter bottles. A Walmart clerk said she saw suspicious purchases so I tried to find the recipe on line. It took me 20 minutes and consisted of easily obtained ingredients.

I now see the advantage of making pseudoephedrine by prescription only like they do in Oregon.

I always found it interesting that pseudo-ephedrine, which makes me sleepy; is used to make methamphetamine, which would keep me awake.

Unfortunately, Nature abhors a vacuum: Mexican meth (and the drug gangs that mule and distribute it) have become a serious problem. Local methmakers avoided drawing attention to themselves or their labs (at least until they were so tweaked that they were oblivious). Mexican drug gangs make a point out of advertising their presence (graffiti) and their threat (highly public shootings/stabbings).

Oxycontin abuse has also supplanted meth, and the effects of this drug are as insidious, if not more so. Previously, meth users were a surreptitious lot. If they committed crimes, generally it was property crime (metal theft, burglary). The rise of Oxycontin abuse has fueled numerous brazen robberies of pharmacies, as well as completely thoughtless, inconsiderate thievery (just the other day, a 9/11 memorial plaque was stolen from a park in St. Helens, OR and presumably sold for scrap). Last year, an off-duty Salem police officer addicted to Oxy used his service revolver in a pharmacy hold-up.

5. I hope

that I am not coming off argumentative but I just had to clarify this particular point. My experience working in the field is a bit different in regards to Meth abusers. Meth abusers are notoriously violent. Physical assault and sexual assault are very common. The counselors in our area find them to be the most aggressive of any group of drug abusers they encounter. This is the general consensus time and time again.

Of course there are always exceptions to the rules and if you were talking about your particular corner of the world you would certainly know better than I.

I definitely see what you are saying with oxy and just recently the feds have admitted that prescription drugs are now more commonly abused in an illegal manner than any other outlawed drug.

3. Yea, I hard about this last week.

Even a meth head can figure this out and it does not require a lab. You can make it in a bathroom. It is really going to increase the meth problem unfortunately.

One problem with making meth is it can be explosive and this simplified method is too. Problem with the simplified method is that the explosion occurs close to the face so now there are more and more reports of meth heads getting 3rd degree burns to their arms and face.

Making pseudoephedrine by prescription everywhere is probably inevitable now.
