Need advice, want to return to college
I was laid off a year and a half ago, no luck finding work. (Of course!)

I was thinking of going back to school to get a degree in something interesting that I can maybe find work in. Any ideas? (I have a BFA in Fine Arts. Ha!) I was thinking about becoming an X-Ray tech, I don't have the right personality to be a nurse, otherwise I'd do that. I was also thinking about becoming a therapist.

Halp!

3. One of the few careers where jobs are still plentiful is in the
Medical field. As I look daily, I see all the hospitals and other facilities have huge numbers of openings. Go to your local Monster.com site or any other job search site and search for medical in your area. It will give you a good idea where the openings are.

Good Luck

4. I have a friend who's an x-ray tech.
He makes pretty good money, especially since he's willing to work holidays (no family obligations), and from what he's told me it's not an especially frantic job. A lot of it is sitting around waiting for patients to show up.

7. I was married to one
You do, however, have to be able to tolerate people in SERIOUS pain and in some cases, cause them even more pain to get the shot of the film.

I know I couldn't do it.

If any person can handle it - go for it!

5. Do any major but enroll in ROTC. Keeps the bills low, guaranteed job
at graduation. A language of the subcontinent might be just the ticket to a job in a hot economy.

6. teach art - do drawings for architects - go into digital art
learn flash - use this website www.lynda.com or kelby.com and teach yourself and make those skills transfer into something new and up to date - digital media is a growing field - don't hide in college but take some classes or teach yourself

8. Nearly anything in the medical field...
even if it's just Coding and Billing, most medical related work is high in demand.

9. How about art herapist? That title doesn't sound quite right,
but they have social workers or therapists who help others through art.
