The Kahn Academy
(NOTE: This is not necessarily to replace school - I thought I'd post it here for teachers who might be interested in using this resource as a supplement. I haven't logged in to any of the "lessons", but heard about this from a friend. Let me know what yall think!)

We are complementing Salman's ever-growing library with user-paced exercises--developed as an open source project--allowing the Khan Academy to become the free classroom for the World.

1. This site is great. My son used it when he wanted to refresh his skills when he
decide to go back to school after being out for about 15 years. He needed to brush up on some of his math and this was an excellent way to do it. It helped him quite a bit.

2. thanks!
It looks pretty interesting. Glad to know it "works".

I found with my kids that sometimes a "different approach" to learning a subject works. If they "can't get it" from the teacher, or the parents, or others around them, then maybe seeing it taught in a way that could be a little bit different in presentation or format...
