In case you haven't heard it all...millionaire actress lashes out at Teachers
Kristen Stewart Lashes Out At Teachers, Says They Failed Her

Having starred in films that demolish the box office again and again with another motion picture mega-hit in the works, plus a handsome boyfriend, Twilight actress Kristen Stewart appears to have it all.

Since Stewart began her acting career at an early age, she performed the delicate balancing act of managing school, auditions and cinematic roles. Finally, in the 7th grade, she buckled under what she described to British GQ, as "uncomfortable" pressure and started homeschooling.

The New Zealand Herald quotes Stewart telling British GQ. "They didn't want to do the extra work or put packages together so I could keep up while away. My teachers failed me. not one, but all of them. I'm always slightly ashamed in a way about what I do. I'm slightly embarrassed as I had such serious ambitions when I was younger, I just never imagined that I would ever have a reason not to go to school. But then this happened."

------------------------------------------
OMG They left the poor privately tutored child multimillionaire wanna be actress behind! How joyless in life do you have to be to pile on the backs of grossly underpaid teachers in comparison to the delights Miss Diva has enjoyed in life?

Another pathetically pampered useless crybaby. The crib is already too full of them.

23. The juxtaposition of her "embarrassment" and "ambition" with the teacher comments is weird.

I've had to talk to news people (paper and tv) enough that I am very skeptical of quotes like that. Sometimes press ask questions digging for something and when a poor word choice is used and reframed, it can look very bad in print.

But then again, the printed words could be a perfect expression of her thoughts -- which would be awfully ungracious of her.

25. Regardless of what you think a reporter left out--did you read one word of praise for teachers
who did serve her educational needs BEFORE she decided to spend all her time acting? No, didn't think so. Teachers didn't make her choices for her you know.

Edited on Tue Oct-11-11 08:38 PM by MichiganVote
50% or more are living with a single parent. Thinking these teachers have just a few other things to think about when it comes to educating a classroom full of kids.

50. So, the district expected her to comply with attendance laws and that is a bad thing?
Every district has Independent Study, which is available to students like her. As a former LA based Independent Study teacher, we had plenty of kids in the entertainment business enrolled. I don't get what she's fussing about.
