Only two Presidential candidates have ever consistently attended Pride events
Hillary Clinton and Rudy Guiliani (before he thought being a Republican would make him Prez).

Posted without comment. I just think it's interesting.

1. Barack won't be seen in public with us, but he'll pray with Rick Warren
yet he's a "fierce advocate" for our rights.

I said "Don't blame me, I supported Hillary"

5. hahahahaha
Good answer!

That's why Rudy's sudden "See what Freeper I am" thing was so bizarre. He has scads of gay friends. Two of his best friends are a gay couple.

6. That response is awful isnt it?
In effect the poster is saying they voted for Obama knowing he would throw a minority to the side - infuriating.

7. If just the 2 parties then you're most likely right
I'm blanking on whether the minor Dems were (Dean, Dodd, Bradley, Kucinich, et al).

If Bill Weld ever runs that would be another (R) and most likely the only one for a long time.

8. A gay band from NC gets to march in the inauguration.....
Didn't get a role under Bush. Big surprise.

For Clinton's inauguration, they got to be there, but only got to play on the sidewalk, didn't get to march.

I guess this proves OBama is prejudiced against gays....how dare he be more accepting of a gay band than Clinton?

9. She was referring to Hillary Clinton
Did she ever mention Bill Clinton in her post?

They are TWO different people.

And, to have a gay band in 1992 was a big deal.

10. we are 16 years out from Bill Clinton's inauguration...
don't you think we should be further along in the fight to obtain equal rights for all of our citizens then just letting our disenfranchised members march?

21. I think it is great that the band from NC gets to march in the inaugural
without pooh-poohing that it is not enough. These folks in the band have worked hard for some recognition. I suppose you want to pooh-pooh.I would rather congratulate the band for their hard work and honors.

Funny how the members of the band would want some applause, and what they are getting around here is....shouldn't we be further along than THIS?

I was merely pointing out ONE example of a positive here. It is a positive, unless you are an anti-gay dingbat. So why act like one?

12. Yep, and that's why at the onset Hillary had the endorsement
of the majority of the gay activist groups. Which were the couple of gay publications that wanted to interview Obama and Hillary, but only Hillary gave them an interview? I can't recall.

;-)

13. Hillary also held a fund raiser at The Abbey.
A very cool gay bar/resturant in West Hollywood. I was there!!

That's where we went for brunch after we got married. My mom made me show her where Hillary stood! My step-mom was too busy checking out all the cute gay guys!

There's this Tex/Mex resturant in West Hollywood that we used to go to all time. We knew all the waiter. When my step mom and her friends from Canada visted us ... my step mom tipped our waiter a $20 and grabbed his ass.
