Time to say goodbye...at least for a while

I'm not going to say much more than what's been said by many others. I need a break. Unfortunately I need a break from both sides. Some people (and I won't mention any names because everyone knows) refused to accept logical reasoning of why we are frustrated. Others just sought to egg us on.

I know how I feel about the subjects at hand. I tried to explain them to people only to get condescending answers and snarkiness from some but I did get some genuine thought-provoking replies from others.

The reason I need a break from both sides is I've seen the same condescension and snark from people of our community, too. Am I saying it wasn't justified? For the most part I am not. Sometimes, though, yeah, some things I thought were a bit over the top.

I enjoy the people that I've cyber-met here. You folks made this a place that was fun and lively and timely. I wish you all the best of luck. I hope to one day return, but I know it won't be for the immediate future.

After 7 yrs, I think the longest I left DU was for a week. That was because I was on a RV trip to New Mexico.

Though I have been here a long time, I'm still one of those guys no one would miss. I got tired of arguing a long time ago.
Between election cycles I don't need the mental anguish.
