Does this seem like a thinly veiled counter attack?
There is a post in GDP where the poster demands to learn from the GBTL Community whether "race" is an issue in the GBTL community and infers that GBTL folks who aren't black aren't "attracted" by blacks? Isn't that an implication that GBTL folks are racist? I was really offended by this.It seems to me sexual attraction is very individual and not something to be classed with bigotry.

1. The architecture of this place has changed RADICALLY in the past couple of years
so if it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, acts like a duck...then it is sure as shooting that is exactly what it is.

6. I am sad that we weren't able to make it to Arizona this holiday season
the first time in many years...however, looking at the weather, it is probably a very good thing we didn't attempt it.
Maybe we can hook up next year!

2. Well, they obviously do not know me then.
I am attracted to black women sometimes. I've had more problem with gay black women who won't go out with white women than any bullshit they are making up in that post, although there are some who will. I like those. :P

4. Very thinkly disguised, indeed.
Anything to defend Dear Leader, at this point.

It reminds me of how ants always surround the queen when the mound is broken open.

16. the premise was ridiculous
There's probably far more interracial dating in the gay and lesbian community than I've seen in the straight community. But for some reason there isn't enough, according to his gay friends, so gee, are we racists?

I mean, wtf?

10. I agree. Attraction follows its own logic.
While I do in fact find all races of women attractive, it is probably no coincidence that my wife looks a lot like me. There is no prejudice in a biological or instinctive drive.

15. it can be
I think folks who aren't attracted to folks of a different race can be, but isn't necessarily racist. A woman on a LGBT forum where I post talked about getting close to someone on line. They decided to date and exchanged pictures when woman #2 realized woman #1 was black shyed away saying she didn't date blacks. To me, that's bigotted, because they had clicked before woman #2 realized the first woman was black. Woman #2 thought it was just fine to tell woman #1 she didn't date blacks, which to me says she's bias.

17. Maybe, but it was couched in something true
I cannot address the reasons why the OP started that thread, but it did raise a salient issue: Among gay men, at least, it is incorrect to talk about "the gay community." It really is fractured, not only along racial lines but also into separate and effectively segregated communities of bears, leather, drag and others. As I wrote in my response on the thread in question, this is largely because of the earlier culture of fear and economic and social realities of the time that the modern gay rights movements were taking shape. Anyone who has worked in educating gay men about safer sex, HIV prevention and issues stemming from drug use have run smack into these divisions.

If he was an honest OP, he'd be around for the discussion.
